We'll help YOUÂ help some kids
We provide all of the information, training and support for high school teachers, students and parents to conduct community service programs. AND, we provide Community Service hours when you use our systems. Get in Touch with us and we'll get you more information.
HELPWORX
The HELPWORX program is the American Youth Council's community service platform. Based on the principles of Service Learning promoted by the U.S. government's Learn and Serve America program, Service Learning combines youth voice, curriculum and community service.
AYC has done extensive research and development into the practical application of these resources to programs that can help kids make a difference. Now we'd like to help kids all over North American develop their own community service programs. AND, give them community service hours for doing them!
We will provide all the support materials and training information. All you have to do is:

Be a high school student in the U.S.

Have a faculty advisor at your school

Fill out the application

Conduct your community service project

Send us your results
Once you've completed your project, we'll send you a certificate for your service hours. PLUS, the American Youth Council is a certifying agency for the President's Volunteer Service Award program, and we'll help you submit your hours for that program too!
Helping Those in Need
TEAMS FOR HOPE VIDEO CHALLENGE
What would happen if we all took a few minutes to help kids in need? Our organization's mission is to bring attention to things that affect kids, like poverty, hunger, homelessness, drugs/alcohol abuse, family and community disruption. We think that making a little video of how people get together to help could be pretty cool...and fun....and might make a huge difference in the lives of children who can't help themselves. So join us.  Get in touch and we'll send you all the information.
